Some
days I’m tired.
I’m
tired because I woke up at five.
I’m
tired because I went to sleep at eleven.
I’m
tired because my first job ended at three.
I’m
tired because my second job started at three.
I’m
tired of running.
I’m
tired of household tasks.
I’m
tired of repeating words.
I’m
tired of being the seeker.
I’m
tired of being the finder.
I’m
tired of being the knower.
The thing I’m most tired of on these days? Myself.

Prompt #5: Write a post
in just 12 lines.
I LOVE this! Genius I had trouble with this week's prompts. You've inspired me. I might give it go...
ReplyDeleteTry it out! It's easy once you get a theme going. Mine was: Complaining. Naturally.
DeleteI hear ya.
ReplyDeleteLoud and clear, eh?
DeleteHey, are we the same person?
ReplyDeleteWe very well could be. Except I only have two babies. And they are like, adult-sized.
DeleteI am tired of crappy weather.
ReplyDeleteWhat?
I thought we were sharing?
I too am tired of crappy weather. And being cold already, and it is only November. OR Movember, if you get my drift. *wink*
DeleteToo much?
The part about the seeker, the finder, the knower? Yeah. I hear you. Me, too!
ReplyDeleteNice job with this prompt.
It's a lot to live up to. Some days my default answer is "I DON'T KNOW." And let them figure it out.
DeleteYep. I know that feeling. Hope things aren't always that way!
ReplyDeleteNope. They aren't. Thank goodness!
DeleteSome days I'm tired of being tired. #thestruggleisreal
ReplyDeleteYou said it. #amensister
DeleteMe too!!
ReplyDeleteSo glad I'm not alone!
DeleteGood 12 lines.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! :)
DeleteI'm with ya there! It just seems like there aren't enough hours in the day!
ReplyDeleteNever enough hours. It's as though I get less hours than everyone else does.
DeleteAnd... I'm not the only one who wakes up 5 times during the night! What a creative post. Loved it!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! Waking up in the middle of the night is brutal. It's so hard to catch up on sleep.
DeleteI hear you too on being tired.. I guess we get into a rut now and then and have to find our inspiration to keep on going :)
ReplyDeleteThat's exactly right - the inspiration is quickly fleeting, so when I see it, I grab it. Most of the time. :)
DeleteI hear you on the 5 am and late nights - TIRED!!!
ReplyDeleteFive a.m. and late nights should be outlawed.
DeleteI'm tired of being tired.
ReplyDelete*YAWN*
DeleteI'm sooo with you on this. Seems the underlying theme of everyone's posts this week is being whiney and tired of coping with whatever each one is coping with. Too bad we can't all get together and have a girls night out to shake things up a bit.
ReplyDeleteI hate to say it, but I love hearing that I'm not alone when I feel out of sorts. It's nice to know when you're not an anomaly. And a girl's night out is always welcome.
DeleteReading that made me tired. Oh, wait, I was already tired....
ReplyDeleteOops! Now you're doubly tired. Might as well go take a nap.
DeleteYep, I'm kinda tired myself. Feel like making more versions of myself so that I could spread the tiredness but just realised that knowing myself, I'd probably look for more things to do and then end up as tired as I am now.
ReplyDeleteMaking more versions of myself just sounds like a lot of work. :)
DeleteYEP! Tired of cleaning up the exact same messes every day. TIred of thinking about what's for dinner. Tired of doing homework...this life can get repetitive and exhausting. It's a good thing we love these people so much. ;)
ReplyDeleteYes, because the alternative is that we throw them out the window. Or run screaming into the night.
